What to say on a typical Friday, at the end of which it is always difficult to predict how the qualifications and the race will go. Even more so when it rains, as it has on the last three race weekends. In fact, because of this afternoon’s rain, we weren’t able to try the slick tires on a long run, but at least we were able to complete our work this morning concerning the aerodynamic updates we brought here. Now, it’s up to our engineers to analyze everything to put together the best package possible for the rest of the weekend. Here, qualifications are undoubtedly more important than elsewhere: it will therefore be vital to exploit every detail to be as prepared as possible for tomorrow. The unknown regarding the tires? It’s the same for everyone, just as it was at Silverstone and Hockenheim!<\/p>\n

\u00ab Overall, it was a good day, the only downside being the rain, which arrived in the middle of the afternoon and therefore prevented us from doing the long stint we had planned to understand tire behavior. However, it wasn’t just our problem, as everyone found themselves in the same situation. Despite everything, we managed to get a fairly clear idea of the performance of the tires and the car, but it is really too early to judge where we are compared to others. There are certainly some fast cars, as was the case in Hockenheim. But we are well aware that the results of the first day at the Hungaroring should never be taken at face value, because at the beginning of the weekend, the track is always very dirty and the situation changes drastically from Friday to Saturday.
