The Sauber F1 team has just announced the arrival of two Swiss companies alongside it for 2013. The first, On, is a very young company as it was only founded in 2010 but has already managed to win over the vice world champion in triathlon, which highlights the qualities of its running shoe soles. Its leaders did not have to go far for their negotiations with Sauber since On is based in Zurich, which is only about thirty kilometers from Hinwil.<\/p>\n
On products will therefore be used by the team staff, which should help them during their reconnaissance at the beginning of the weekend as well as during their physical preparation sessions. Monisha Kaltenborn, the CEO of the team, stated: “We are delighted to work with a new Swiss company. On is a young and innovative company, which fits us perfectly since many people within the team use their rare moments of freedom during race weekends to stay in shape by jogging around the circuit.”<\/p>\n
For the rest of its clothing, the Sauber staff will now be able to rely on products from the Wikland brand. Its marketing director, Tomi W\u00fcthrich, comments on this new partnership: “We are delighted with this new partnership because both our companies share the same values, like the Swiss mindset, innovation, precision, and quality. Wikland will work very closely with the Sauber F1 Team. We will test our clothing in all the climatic conditions in which the Sauber F1 Team will travel around the world. Wikland clothing combines maximum functionality with unbeatable comfort. The Sauber F1 Team can therefore focus on their cars and races. The two partners are currently working on a Wikland Sauber F1 Team clothing collection.”<\/p>\n
Nevertheless, this latest partnership does not mean a complete halt to another agreement, the one made in 2011 with another Swiss brand, Nabholz. Indeed, Sauber confirms that Nabholz remains a promotional partner of the team, likely concerning the brand’s luggage range since clothing items are attributes of the new official partner in the field.<\/p>\n
