Since the beginning of the season, the FIA has been encountering issues with its telemetry system. This has particularly disrupted the drivers who no longer have the visualization of flags directly in their cockpit. It also does not allow the FIA to deactivate and reactivate the DRS in case of a yellow flag and it also affects the F1’s Safety Car mode in case the safety car enters the track.<\/p>\n
The problem first appeared in Melbourne, where the FIA decided to deactivate its system. It then persisted in Sepang in Malaysia, China, and more recently in Bahrain. These problems are partly due to the change of supplier for this system. Last year, it was the company EM that handled this market, but this year, the FIA decided to entrust it to Riedel.<\/p>\n
