\u00ab It’s a great feeling to be on pole in the city where I grew up, and it means a lot to me to drive on the streets here, behind the wheel of a Silver Arrow. The conditions were really tough today with the rain at the start, but we handled it well. I have to say thank you to everyone in the team for all their hard work in improving our car and our performance since last year. That said, we know our race pace is our weakness. We’ve learned a lot since the last race, and this track should suit us, but we have to wait until tomorrow to see if it will be enough. \u00bb<\/p>\n

Congratulations to Nico and the team today, excellent work throughout the day. It’s a big improvement for me after struggling during the practice sessions here, so I’m really happy to be on the front row of the grid. I didn’t have a great first sector during my lap today, but after that, everything came together. I have a bit of work to do as I didn’t feel very comfortable in the car today, but I’m confident that we will have a good race tomorrow, and our goal is to get the best possible result for the team.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
