\u00ab It wasn’t ideal today, but it wasn’t bad either. It took us a little time to understand the new tires and it was also very hot. It’s too early to say if the heat is going to suit us with these new tires, but we’ll have a better idea soon. I was caught in traffic this afternoon, so I wasn’t able to do a quick lap with the new tires, plus we have a few settings to improve. We will try to do the best we can to qualify and we’ll see where we are. If we can have a good car, it should be good for tomorrow. \u00bb<\/p>\n

\u00ab It has been a good day overall. I hadn’t tried the new tires at Silverstone, so the priority was to get the most out of them until they felt right. To be honest, it’s not day and night compared to the old ones, which is good because it means we don’t need to make a lot of changes. There’s still a bit of graining and degradation to manage, but that’s normal. Our pace seems quite good on both compounds, but the gaps are tight and it’s hard to know where we stand.
