\u00ab It was a tough race today and, in the end, we had to retire the car due to a brake issue. I did my best and I don’t think we could have done more because I was at the limit throughout the race. The stop was good, but the team had to hold me back because Maldonado was coming, so I lost a place to Gutierrez. I was able to pass him on the track afterwards, but there were fast cars [Hamilton and R\u00e4ikk\u00f6nen, ed.] with fresher tires and there was no way to hold them back. The points weren’t too far off today, but overall, we didn’t have the pace this weekend. \u00bb<\/p>\n

I locked both my front wheels while trying to stop the car and hit Grosjean. Unfortunately, it was too late to avoid it.
