As planned, the teams and the FIA met on January 22 to discuss the future of the discipline. An exceptional meeting at the end of which several decisions were made, pending their final adoption which will only occur after being reviewed by the F1 Commission and receiving final approval from the teams.<\/p>\n
The statement begins with a renewed reminder of the set course regarding cost reduction by the end of the year: The FIA President reiterated to the members of the World Motor Sport Council the FIA’s intention to ensure a healthy, affordable, and spectacular Formula 1 World Championship in the long term. During a meeting of the F1 Strategy Group yesterday [January 22], chaired by the FIA President and attended by Bernie Ecclestone and the teams, it was unanimously decided that cost reduction and expenditure control rules will be presented to the World Motor Sport Council in June 2014 for introduction in January 2015.<\/p>\n

Probable modifications to the 2014 sporting regulations:<\/b><\/p>\n

Probable Modifications to the 2015 Technical Regulations:<\/b><\/p>\n
– \u00ab\u00a0Le poids minimum sera augment\u00e9 de 10kg, pour atteindre les 701kg, pour 2015\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n
– \u00ab\u00a0Tout dispositif chauffant les pneus sera interdit en 2015\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n
– \u00ab\u00a0Pour des raisons de s\u00e9curit\u00e9, la partie avant de la coque ne devra pas monter trop brutalement \u00e0 l’arri\u00e8re du museau\u00a0\u00bb.
