Under the heat of Sepang, the Red Bull RB10 continued its good momentum from Melbourne by having a trouble-free first day of testing: \u00ab I think we had a good day. Obviously, Friday is not the most important thing in the world, but it’s always nice to be with the guys at the front. I think we had a decent day, not completely smooth, there are still issues to resolve on the software side but that’s how it is. I think we’ve learned a lot overall, I’m happy. \u00bb<\/p>\n

Like Vettel, Daniel Ricciardo expressed satisfaction with his day even though he finished further down the standings. The Australian completed numerous laps that will be valuable for the rest of the weekend: I think we learned a lot about the pace in the short stints this morning. We were quite happy with the progress made. I think we still have room for improvement, but that’s what the evening will be for.<\/p>\n
The heat will represent a challenge both for the cars and for the drivers.
