After overtaking Jules Bianchi in the last lap, the Japanese driver had his 17th place taken away due to the checkered flag being waved too early. A three-stop strategy created a funny situation which he recounts: \u00ab It gave us some interesting moments, especially with Vettel who I was told I could overtake because he was in fuel-saving mode and on used tires while I was on new soft tires in my third stint. I heard he wasn’t too happy but compared to him, at that moment, I had the pace to widen the gap and I had to do it so as not to compromise our plan.<\/p>\n
He hopes that his team will progress at the next Grand Prix: \u00ab We have a good package coming to Spain, and we are determined to close the gap. \u00bb<\/p>\n

After struggling with oversteer in his car throughout the race, the Swedish rookie was content with just bringing his car to the finish.
