The Grand Prix started off rather well for the Japanese driver, but everything quickly went downhill for him and his car: \u00ab My start was correct and I managed to avoid all the debris from the two Marussia cars’ accident on the first lap. Tire management under the safety car was quite good as well, but a few laps after it came in, I felt a problem at the rear as I exited the second corner and had to stop the car. When I got out, I took a look and saw that it was a rear suspension problem. \u00bb<\/p>\n
Kobayashi remains optimistic for the rest of the season: \u00ab It was quite difficult in Canada, but we will continue to fight. Our day will come, I am pretty sure about that. \u00bb<\/p>\n

The Swede continues his Formula 1 learning experience in pain, with an early retirement: \u00ab A disappointing end to a difficult weekend. But for me, it’s part of the learning curve. As soon as the formation lap started, I could feel that the power unit had a problem, which continued under the safety car regime.
