His first season in Master Junior Formula resulted in a second place in the championship and seven victories, indicating a genuine desire to succeed in motorsport.<\/p>\n<p>After going through Formula BMW Europe and securing a fourth place in the championship, the young driver tries his hand at several formulas: Formula 3 in Great Britain and Formula 3 Euro Series.<\/p>\n<p>In 2011, the Barcelona native won the Macau GP and finished third in both championships in which he was competing, the F3 Euro Series and the FIA International F3 Trophy.<\/p>\n<p>In 2012, the driver achieved victory at the legendary Formula 3 Masters in Zandvoort, also securing pole position, and went on to become the champion of the F3 Euro Series and first in the FIA European Formula 3 Championship.<\/p>\n<p>Despite his young age, the driver already holds 31 fastest laps, 15 pole positions, 66 podiums, and 26 victories in multiple championships.<\/p>\n<p>The 23-year-old Spaniard will take the wheel of Nico H\u00fclkenberg&#8217;s VJM07 for the Friday morning session, and the Barcelona driver shares his thoughts: &#8220;I am thrilled and ready, and I want to thank Sahara Force India for this opportunity,&#8221; he states on the team&#8217;s official website. He adds: &#8220;This is the first time I will take part in an official session for a Grand Prix weekend, it&#8217;s set to be a special day for me. I have been waiting for this moment for a very long time and it shows that work and determination can pay off.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The current DTM driver reflects on the work done since the beginning of this year. \u00ab After my first chance to drive in Jerez, I worked hard with the team and learned a lot; all the hours in the simulator gave me a lot of confidence. It was a good way to get to know the team, which is essential.
