With only two points finishes and a thirteenth place in the drivers’ world championship, Romain Grosjean is far from the victory goals he set for himself at the end of last year.<\/p>\n
The Lotus E22 and the Renault engine are the main causes of this debacle. The French driver, still in search of his first Formula 1 victory, might be tempted to look elsewhere if interesting opportunities arise. He shared this with our colleagues at PlanetF1<\/i>: “You always think about the future. I’ve been with Lotus for a while now and I know the team very well. On the other hand, I still want to win races… so everything is open.”<\/p>\n
Rumors link Romain Grosjean with the McLaren team now led by Eric Boullier, who is very close to the Frenchman. Grosjean’s ambition is, of course, to win Grand Prix races and become world champion.
