Two weeks after Austria, the threat remains the same: the FIA does not want to see drivers going off the track beyond the four wheels at the exits of turns 9 and 18, as it could provide them with a clear advantage over their competitors. Therefore, they have issued a warning that any infraction will result in the lap time not being counted during this afternoon’s qualifying session.<\/p>\n
This threat also applies to the race. Thus, if a driver were to repeatedly exceed the track limits or if it was clear they gained an advantage (such as an overtaking maneuver or a time gain to defend), the incident would be reported to the race stewards. A penalty could then be imposed.<\/p>\n
