Changes can be made at the end of the season before this process begins again for the 2015 season. However, Mattiacci would like to see this point reviewed.<\/p>\n<p>When asked after the Belgian Grand Prix if he wanted to see engine restrictions lifted, Mattiacci replied: \u00ab Yes, in a manner not as rigid as today. I would like to see certain opportunities allowed per year to work on the engine. \u00bb<\/p>\n<p>For him, this would allow engine manufacturers who have a power deficit, like Renault and Ferrari this season, to catch up with the best: \u00ab As you know very well, we continue to discuss how to improve &#8211; if necessary &#8211; each area of the Formula 1 product. [In Belgium], we had a fantastic race. [&#8230;] The DNA of Formula 1 is to innovate and catch up with the best by being as fast as the smartest.
