Red Bull’s predictions turned out to be even better than expected during the Singapore qualifying: \u00ab Before arriving for this weekend, we thought that if we could be two or three tenths off Mercedes, we would have a good chance of staying with them in the race. We actually ended up closer to them than we thought. So that’s a good thing. \u00bb<\/p>\n
The Australian therefore knows that his best chance is at the start. The four-time world champion is not satisfied with his last lap because he over-drove, causing him to lose a pole he thought was achievable on the streets of Singapore: \u00ab I am not happy with my last lap. I pushed a little too hard and couldn’t put it all together. So, I am not completely satisfied, but that’s how it is now. I think the pole was achievable. \u00bb<\/p>\n
If he is confident before the race, he knows that many cars have the same pace, which will make overtaking difficult: \u00ab We hope for a good race tomorrow, with good pit stops and a good strategy. We will see what we can do. I think we have good speed but everyone seems to have good speed here. It’s a long race. The two Red Bull drivers once again managed to stand out during the Singapore Grand Prix F1 qualifying as they both placed just behind the two Mercedes.
