McLaren is the first team to announce that its car for the 2015 season has passed all the FIA crash tests, this Friday.<\/p>\n

The Woking team, whose car will be powered by a Honda hybrid turbo V6 \u2013 23 years after their last season, will field two experienced drivers: Fernando Alonso, returning after a mixed stint in 2007, and Jenson Button, who will be starting his sixth season at McLaren and the sixteenth of his career.<\/p>\n

Although the launch date of its MP4-30 has not yet been revealed, the British team has confirmed that it has passed all the crash tests; a situation that contrasts sharply with last season when the team had to wait until the week before the first winter tests to make such an announcement.<\/p>\n

This season, these private tests will begin on February 1st at the Jerez circuit.<\/p>\n
