After the McLaren team last week, it is now the turn of the Sauber F1 team to officially announce that they have successfully passed the FIA crash tests, more than a month before the start of the private tests in 2015.<\/p>\n

The C34 is thus ready to participate in the first private tests, which will take place from February 1st at the Spanish circuit of Jerez de la Frontera, because since last year it has been mandatory for a single-seater to pass the crash tests in order to take part in these tests.<\/p>\n

The Swiss team’s car will be entrusted this season to Swedish driver Marcus Ericsson – a transfer from the Caterham F1 team – and Brazilian Felipe Nasr, who will make his F1 debut after a year of learning with the Williams F1 team. The latter also announced today the number he will use for his F1 career. It is number 12. As a reminder, Marcus Ericsson will wear number 9.<\/p>\n
