{"id":13896,"date":"2015-01-17T12:02:15","date_gmt":"2015-01-17T12:02:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.casinoenligne.uk.com\/en\/f1\/news\/19344-the-lotus-e23-hybrid-passed-fia-crash-tests"},"modified":"2015-01-17T12:02:15","modified_gmt":"2015-01-17T12:02:15","slug":"19344-the-lotus-e23-hybrid-passed-fia-crash-tests","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.casinoenligne.uk.com\/en\/f1\/news\/19344-the-lotus-e23-hybrid-passed-fia-crash-tests","title":{"rendered":"The Lotus E23 hybrid passed the FIA crash tests"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After announcements made by McLaren, Sauber and Toro Rosso this week, it&#8217;s the turn of the Lotus F1 team to announce that its car has successfully passed the mandatory FIA crash tests.<\/p>\n<p>The E23 hybrid, which will be powered by Mercedes &#8211; with Team Lotus transitioning from Renault to the star brand from this year &#8211; will be entrusted to the same driver duo as in 2014, namely: Romain Grosjean and Pastor Maldonado.<\/p>\n<p>The E23 carries the hopes of the Enstone team which, after a disastrous 2014 year when it had decided not to take part in the first tests to better develop its car, wants to return to the top as was the case in 2013 when Romain Grosjean secured 9 podiums and Kimi R\u00e4ikk\u00f6nen 8, including a win, at the inaugural race held in Australia.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Lotus team announced that its 2015 challenger, named E23 hybrid, had passed the FIA crash tests.
