Suzuka always offers several strategic opportunities, so the teams will need to carefully analyze their data tonight to see how they can maximize the tires and pit stops to gain a competitive advantage \u00bb reminds Paul Hembery, the head of competition at Pirelli.<\/p>\n

For tomorrow’s race, the Italian manufacturer is planning an optimal two-stop strategy: Compared to a weekend run entirely on dry, teams lack data to calculate their strategies: this could affect their full understanding of the strategies. Two stops are expected for this 53-lap Japanese Grand Prix. The fastest strategy for us will be: start on medium, stop between laps 16 and 18 for mediums, and stop between laps 33 and 35 for hards. A three-stop strategy is still possible, but it wouldn’t be as fast.<\/p>\n
