Ecclestone holds 5.3% of the shares, CVC Capital Partners 35.5%, and the rest is shared among various foreign investment funds.<\/p>\n<p>But according to the F1&#8217;s chief financial officer, this situation is about to change very quickly: \u00ab <i>Our shareholders are in a position where they are going to lose a large portion, if not all, of their shares shortly. This is how things are set up for them.<\/i> \u00bb<\/p>\n<p>Especially since three investors seem very interested: &#8220;There has been a lot of interest, and I would say there are three interested parties at the moment, and I would be surprised if none of them buy very quickly,&#8221; confirms the 84-year-old Briton.<\/p>\n<p>And when asked about the timeframe for the sale, Ecclestone replies: &#8220;<i>This year<\/i>&#8220;.<\/p>\n<p>A definitive answer will therefore surely be provided by the end of the year regarding the new investors in the premier discipline of motorsport.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Bernie Ecclestone recently confessed that Formula 1 is on the verge of being sold by the end of the year.
