We already knew for some time, but the presentation that took place yesterday in the Abu Dhabi paddock confirmed it: the range of tires provided by Pirelli for the 2018 season has expanded and now includes seven compounds, excluding rain tires.<\/p>\n

Starting next season, teams will have the choice between Super Hard tires with orange bands, Hard tires with blue bands, Medium tires with white bands, Soft tires with yellow bands, Super Soft tires with red bands, Ultra Soft tires with purple bands, and finally Hyper Soft tires with pink bands.<\/p>\n

As usual, Pirelli will offer three tire choices for each Grand Prix weekend. The desire of teams and drivers for even softer tires than this year has been acknowledged by the Italian manufacturer, which has been working on expanding its range of offerings.<\/p>\n
