In 2019, the technical regulations will evolve to allow single-seaters to follow each other more easily, thus promoting overtaking, a goal often unattainable for drivers.<\/p>\n

In addition to a 25 cm longer wheelbase, the new single-seaters will have simplified, wider, and higher front wings. The rear wing will also be widened and raised, and the DRS opening will be increased.<\/p>\n

The brake scoops are also affected by these changes. They will be simplified, and any air appendages in the hubs will be prohibited, similar to the perforated scoops of Mercedes at the end of the 2018 season that caused controversy.<\/p>\n

The side deflectors will be less significant and the onboard fuel limit is increased by 5 kg, from 105 to 110, allowing drivers to use the full power of the engines more frequently.<\/p>\n
