In 2018, the F1 esports had captivated no less than 5 million people worldwide. This year, the competition intends to continue its momentum and establish itself as the benchmark of sim racing competitions.<\/p>\n
This third season will begin on April 8. Players of F1 2018 will be allowed to try to qualify for the Pro Draft and thus have a chance to join one of the official Formula 1 teams as an esports driver. The teams will then have to choose at least two drivers from the Pro Draft who will represent them during the F1 Esports Pro Series.<\/p>\n
The online competition has pulled out all the stops with a significant increase in the cash prize for the winner, now amounting to $500,000 (equivalent to \u20ac446,000). The qualification period is also longer to allow more players to try their luck.<\/p>\n
In 2018, Mercedes swept both titles thanks to their star driver Brendon Leigh, who is currently the only champion in the discipline. The mission this year will be to defeat the German team and their British driver.<\/p>\n
