It was through a laconic statement published 48 hours after the French Grand Prix that the Williams team confirmed the departure of Paddy Lowe from his position as Technical Director.<\/p>\n
Since the beginning of the season, the British engineer had been sidelined following a very disappointing series of underperforming cars. Held responsible for the situation, the former Mercedes engineer had been asked to take a step back until today, when he finally announced his definitive departure from the team and his withdrawal as a shareholder.<\/p>\n
