After securing the first and third fastest times in qualifying, the two Red Bull drivers aimed for victory but quickly had to concede to Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso. Mark Webber finished on the last step of the podium while Sebastian Vettel missed it, recording his worst result of the season.

Scuderia Toro Rosso cannot be satisfied with their weekend. Despite Alguersuari's good performance, finishing 12th after starting from 17th place, the Italian team faced numerous issues with Buemi's car. The Swiss driver finished 15th nonetheless and is under investigation after his collision with Nick Heidfeld. A weekend to forget.

After being unfortunate in the last races, Force India is smiling again and in what a way, as Adrian Sutil manages to take sixth place on his home turf.

After more than disappointing qualifications at Sauber, the team wanted to climb back up the rankings and score some points. Goals achieved, notably thanks to Kamui Kobayashi. The Japanese driver finishes 9th, ahead of Petrov's Lotus Renault GP, after starting 17th. He delivered a great performance, as did his young teammate, Pérez, who continues to amaze. The Mexican driver finishes 11th, just shy of the points.

Hispania Racing made a nice progression today from a performance standpoint. However, the team is experiencing reliability issues. After changing Liuzzi's gearbox and taking a 5-place penalty, the Italian made a strong comeback but was stopped in his tracks due to an electronic problem this time. Only Ricciardo finished the 2011 German Grand Prix. As a rookie, he held on to 19th place and was ahead of Karun Chandhok in the Team Lotus Renault. Performances were therefore mixed.

The results are mixed or even poor for the English team Williams today. Pastor Maldonado did the job and brought his car home in 14th place, while Rubens Barrichello retired from the German Grand Prix on lap 16. The Brazilian had a good start, gaining three positions to hold 11th place. However, an oil leak forced him to retire... Maldonado executed his two-stop strategy but lost one position compared to his qualifying.

With both cars finishing, Team Lotus is rather satisfied with their weekend. This is particularly true for Karun Chandhok who, despite a few mistakes, finished the race in his first competition since last year.

The two Mercedes GP drivers were starting today for a home race in front of their fans. Nico Rosberg and Michael Schumacher both had a good start to their weekend by making it into Q3. However, Rosberg dominated the seven-time world champion in qualifying and the race, but both drivers finished wheel-to-wheel.

Lewis Hamilton won the German Grand Prix, which ultimately took place in dry conditions as the rain did not make an appearance. Sebastian Vettel recorded his worst result of the season, and his main opponents, except for Jenson Button, gained a few points on him.
