McLaren drank the cup to the dregs this Sunday in Yeongam. The race indeed began with Jenson Button's retirement following a collision with Kamui Kobayashi at turn 3. Lewis Hamilton was once again the victim of a mechanical failure and came out of the race exhausted with a point heroically earned, according to Martin Whitmarsh.

Handicapped by the absence of KERS and the blue flags, Timo Glock was unable to challenge the supremacy of the Caterham and finished the race in 18th place, satisfied with his team's progress. Relegated to the back of the pack after installing his ninth engine of the season, Charles Pic was slow to overtake the HRTs, thus rendering any hope of competing with his teammate and the Caterham futile.

Williams had a weekend to forget: the FW34s were simply not fast enough to compete for a points finish. Pastor Maldonado and Bruno Senna, finishing in that order in 14th and 15th positions, were unable to do anything in the race, and both hope that the issues with their car will be resolved for the Indian Grand Prix.
