With a 9th place as the best result, there was nothing to boast about for Renault after the Canadian Grand Prix. However, the French engine manufacturer no longer seems to experience reliability issues and can now turn its focus towards pure performance.

Romain Grosjean only finished 10th in Canada due to contact with Will Stevens' Manor, which resulted in a five-second penalty. As for Pastor Maldonado, he scored his first points of the season with a strong 7th place finish.
