With 22 races scheduled for next year, the 2020 season will be the longest in Formula 1 history.

The inaugural round will begin as usual with the Australian Grand Prix on March 15. The season will conclude in Abu Dhabi on November 29.

Two new races will make their appearance with the Vietnam Grand Prix in Hanoi on April 5 and the Dutch Grand Prix in Zandvoort on May 3. These two circuits are subject to FIA homologation.

Formula 1 has also confirmed pre-season testing that will take place in Barcelona in a 2 by 3-day format. These tests are scheduled from February 19 to 21 and from February 26 to 28. Compared to last year, this means two fewer test days will be offered to the teams. It should also be noted that in-season testing has been canceled to avoid overloading the calendar, which already includes two additional Grand Prix.
