Alexander Albon has “exceeded” all of Williams’ expectations

Alexander Albon is making his comeback in Formula 1 after being demoted for a year, replacing George Russell who has moved to Mercedes.

The pre-season tests in Barcelona allowed Alex Albon to showcase a part of his talent, and he appears to have adapted well to the brand new FW44. Jost Capito, CEO of Williams, has spoken about him.

“I am very impressed, he is very relevant in the information he provides when evaluating the car,” explains Capito. “He is relatively calm. He has a very good feeling with the car. He works well with the engineers and with the team. I think he is the perfect mix between a nice guy and when he is in the car, he understands it. He pushes it, he is a fighter,” he continues.

The new teammate of Nicholas Latifi has also shared his impressions about his team. I was expecting him to be really good with the team, but he has exceeded all my expectations. There is a great buzz within the team. I really like this team. Obviously, we’ve had a brief relationship, but the guys are really talented and very motivated to do their best, which is important, confides Albon.

« They had a very good year last year, and I hope that we continue on this path. » explains the Thai. « There is a new investment from Dorilton and they are just as motivated. They are very positive people and we have an excellent collaboration. I feel like we have the recipe for a great year and a bright future at Williams. I can’t wait to see everything that is to come », concludes Alexander Albon.
