A new sales director for the Sauber group
Alessandro Alunni Bravi is now the sales director of the Sauber group, the company that owns the Alfa Romeo F1 team.
Since 2017, Alessandro Alunni Bravi, a lawyer by profession, has been serving as the General Counsel of Sauber. He will now take on the role of Commercial Director for the group.
Well-known in the paddock, he is a driver’s agent, specifically representing Stoffel Vandoorne, who drives for Mercedes in Formula E. Alunni Bravi has also worked alongside Robert Kubica, who is the reserve driver for Alfa Romeo in the 2022 season.
Moreover, the Italian has worked alongside Nicolas Todt in the management of drivers such as Felipe Massa, Pastor Maldonado, and Charles Leclerc. And as a legal advisor for ART F2 and F3, he is closely connected to Frédéric Vasseur, the team principal of Alfa Romeo F1.
Thus, the Swiss company Sauber has chosen him to be the new sales director. « He will be in charge of marketing, communication, sales, legal affairs, information technology, and finance », explains the group, which came close to being acquired by Michael Andretti.
For Frédéric Vasseur, the choice of Alunni Bravi is obvious. Alessandro has been an integral part of the company’s growth, both on and off the track, in recent years, explains Vasseur. I’m excited to see his development in this role. Very few people have his knowledge of motorsports in this business and the complex legal landscape in which he will operate, which makes Alessandro the ideal person for this challenge, reveals the team principal of Alfa Romeo F1.
The new sales director also expressed himself about his role. It is an honor to take on the challenge of becoming the sales director of a company with such recognition as Sauber, says Bravi. I am also aware of the responsibilities that this position entails, given the number of people employed by Sauber [over 500], a commitment that I will fulfill with a lot of hard work, passion, and dedication, he affirms before expressing his gratitude.
« I would like to thank Frédéric Vasseur and the shareholders of the Sauber group, as well as those who have worked by my side all these years and made this step possible for me. There is a lot of work ahead, but I am eager to start this new adventure,” Alunni Bravi concluded. »
