Since February 22nd, work has begun in Monaco to prepare for the Formula 1 Grand Prix as well as the E-Prix.

The Monaco circuit is getting a makeover

The Monégasque track gets a fresh look in 2022, two-thirds of the circuit will have a new asphalt for the 79th edition of the Monaco Grand Prix.

The areas concerned by his work are as follows: Pitlane, Ostende Avenue, Albert 1st Boulevard, Spélugues Avenue, Louis II Tunnel, North Dock / Piscine Road, Rascasse and Antony Noghès Turns.

Each sector will have to undergo initial planing of the upper part of the asphalt before the application of the new coating.

Furthermore, the construction of the infrastructure has also started in order to accommodate the officials, teams, and spectators.

As a reminder, the E-Prix will take place on April 30th, the Historic Monaco Grand Prix from May 13th to 15th, and the Formula 1 Grand Prix from May 26th to 29th.
