Valtteri Bottas poses nude and raises 53,000 dollars for a charity
The Finn sold copies of the photo of himself, naked rear, that he posted on Instagram. Result: over $50,000 in profits for a charity.
We know Valtteri Bottas, the driver, but there is also Valtteri Bottas with a big heart. On social media, all the drivers (except Sebastian Vettel who is not on it) post photos of themselves, their races, or their daily lives. But the Finnish driver occasionally shares more unique photos.
A few days after the Miami Grand Prix, the Alfa Romeo driver posted a photo of himself completely naked in a lake on Instagram. It quickly went viral as it is possible to see the bare posterior of the Finn.
But the goal of this picture was not to create buzz, on the contrary. Valtteri Bottas actually revealed that this action was aimed at raising funds for a charity. And it worked well, as no less than 5,000 people now own a copy of the driver’s photo.
« With that, we raised fifty thousand euros for the foundation. I make good money with my butt », he confided jokingly to our colleagues at Sky Sports. « I still haven’t signed any, maybe during tomorrow’s autograph session, I might see some. »
His former teammate at Mercedes now has one of these photos, as a copy was handed to him personally by Bottas this Thursday in Monaco.
