Verstappen’s podium in suspense

Nothing is played yet for this Monaco Grand Prix. While Sergio Perez emerged victorious after an extremely defensive race against Carlos Sainz, Max Verstappen got the upper hand over Charles Leclerc.

But the Dutchman’s third place is not yet guaranteed. Indeed, Ferrari has filed a complaint with the FIA after the controversial pit stop of the reigning world champion. The number 1 driver is accused of crossing the yellow line after the first turn, just moments after changing his tires.

If the FIA did not penalize Max Verstappen during the race, that could change in the next few hours.

UPDATE at 10:10 PM: The FIA has officially rejected Ferrari’s protests.
