The teams with few spare parts in Baku
The Haas team principal, Günther Steiner, hopes that his drivers will stay away from the walls to avoid damaging the cars, as spare parts are becoming scarce.
After Monaco, Formula 1 continues with another city circuit, Baku. Once again, the walls are close to the track and a driver going off track could be catastrophic for a team, as the amount of time on the track would be greatly reduced and the damages could be colossal.
With the budget limitation, some teams don’t have much room for error. Moreover, traveling from country to country isn’t always easy and some teams only leave with the bare minimum of spare parts, like the Haas team.
The challenges are to transition from one continent to another, it’s a long journey and the team works very hard to accomplish everything. You need a good, hardworking team, but it’s a challenge because they only have a few days to get everything back in order and move on to the next race. If there is any damage to the car, it becomes even more difficult, so we hope not to have any damage in Baku, Günther Steiner told our colleagues at F1only.
The American team had a bad Monaco Grand Prix, with Kevin Magnussen retiring and the spectacular crash of the second driver, Mick Schumacher, who split the car in two after hitting the wall at the swimming pool.
