Sergio Perez elected driver of the day
The Mexican was elected driver of the day after an incredible comeback.
He came back from nowhere. Forced to change his wing at the very beginning of the race, Sergio Perez found himself in last place in the British Grand Prix. As the laps went by, Max Verstappen’s teammate overtook his competitors one by one.
The crazy end of the race turned in his favor. Just when we thought we would witness a battle between Sainz/Hamilton/Leclerc for the victory, the Mexican joined the fight. He fiercely battled with the British and the Monégasque for several laps. With a more than aggressive defense, the Red Bull driver takes the advantage over the two competitors and finishes in second place in the Grand Prix.
