Ferrari and Mercedes have worked under curfew

The race weekend hadn’t even started yet when the mechanics were busy working on the single-seaters. On Wednesday night, the Mercedes staff stayed and worked in the garage past 7 pm.

This is the second time the German team has violated the curfew imposed by the FIA 29 hours before the official start of the first practice session. Each team is allowed eight infractions, and Mercedes is still within the limit and will therefore not be penalized.

At Ferrari as well, there was work to be done. However, the Italian mechanics did not work on Wednesday evening, but the following day. The FIA stated that members of the Scuderia were present in their assigned garages on Thursday evening.

Here too, the brand with the prancing horse will not receive a penalty since they have the right to six wild cards. Here, it was their first offense.
