Valtteri Bottas will start from the back of the grid

The weekend is likely to be complicated for the Finn. While the first free practice sessions hadn’t even started yet, Valtteri Bottas was already certain to start from the back of the grid on Sunday.

At the dawn of the Austrian Grand Prix, the team for the former Mercedes driver has changed many parts on their car. As a result, driver number 77 will have a new engine, a new turbo, an MGU-H, an MGU-K, a new electronic control unit, and a new exhaust system.

Having exceeded the permitted quotas this year, the Finnish driver will start from the back of the grid on Sunday.

He is not the only driver to have changed engine parts for this weekend. Lando Norris also has a new turbo, a new engine, as well as brand new MGU-H and MGU-K.

Charles Leclerc saw new batteries being installed on his Ferrari.

Guanyu Zhou also has a new electronic control unit.
