New gearbox for Alfa Romeo drivers
New gearboxes have been installed on Guanyu Zhou and Valtteri Bottas' single-seaters.
This weekend, the cars on the grid were seen getting many new parts installed. Valtteri Bottas, whose entire engine components have been changed – which resulted in him starting last on Sunday – also has a new gearbox.
His teammate has also been equipped with this new element. The two main rivals for the world champion title have also received a new gearbox on their respective cars.
Thus, the two Alfa Romeo drivers have installed their fourth component this season, therefore they have reached the prescribed limit before penalty. Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc, on the other hand, still have their third piece available.
