Carlos Sainz will start from the back of the grid

This Friday at noon in Free Practice 1, Ferrari decided to bring out Carlos Sainz’s car with a new electronic control unit (ECU).

But new parts have been changed on car number 16. Indeed, Carlos Sainz is being equipped with a new engine and turbo, in addition to a new electronic control unit. A new MGU-H, MGU-K, and his fifth exhaust system have been installed on his Ferrari.

This follows his withdrawal from the Austrian Grand Prix, where his car caught fire and destroyed many components.

Following all these changes, he will start from the back of the grid, alongside Kevin Magnussen, who also has new components on his car. The Danish driver has a new engine, turbo, MGU-H, MGU-K.
