It is possible to acquire Eddie Irvine’s Ferrari F310B

This is the third Formula 1 car offered by RM Sotheby’s. After Michael Schumacher’s F300 and the Ferrari 625, it is now Eddie Irvine’s F310B that will be up for sale.

It is chassis number 176 that is available on the website of the specialist in vintage car sales. This one was used by Eddie Irvine, on the sidelines of the 1997 Spanish Grand Prix. The Irishman had finished 12th in that race.

Eddie Irvine finished 12th in the 1997 Spanish Grand Prix with this car.

« In Spain, Ferrari endured tire problems throughout the weekend, with Irvine qualifying in a modest 11th position, although less than half a second behind his illustrious teammate in 7th place. During the race, Irvine encountered severe tire blistering throughout; his – and car 176’s – lack of fundamental pace being further exacerbated by a 10-second stop-go penalty for ignoring blue flags, as recalled by RM Sotheby’s.

The professionals state that it was in a very well-preserved condition, with original Sabelt seat belts and Goodyear tires from that time. The original engine, transmission, and Magneti Marelli ECU all appear intact, but it remains solely in a static display condition and will require servicing before it can safely and reliably return to the track.

No estimate has been given, those who wish to acquire it must make an offer.
