Lewis Hamilton spoke highly of Daniel Ricciardo
Lewis Hamilton believes that Daniel Ricciardo should remain a full-time driver.
Daniel Ricciardo is at a standstill. Currently, the Australian finds himself without a seat following Oscar Piastri’s promotion to McLaren. The one nicknamed Honey Badger is currently sidelined and actively seeking a seat.
The situation led Lewis Hamilton to offer his support to him during the traditional weekend press conference. He highlighted some facts from his career. « Personally, I think he should race. I think he is far too talented for… And he has earned the right to be among all of us, racing. But of course, if he becomes part of our team, that would be fantastic. But what I mean is, the third role is not really, I think, what is best for him. If I were in charge, he would race », indicated the seven-time world champion, this Thursday, in Monza. He is thus referring to a potential reserve role within Mercedes.
Since his debut in 2011, Daniel Ricciardo has participated in 225 races and has won 8 times with Red Bull. He has also finished in third place in the driver’s championship twice, in 2014 and 2016.
