Aston Martin worked under curfew
The British team used their first lifeline of period 3.
There was overnight work yesterday. Well after the end of the second free practice session, mechanics from Aston Martin were still present after dark. They violated the curfew established by the FIA. The team members worked on both cars.
Last night, the personnel of the Aston Martin Aramco Cognizant Formula One Team, who are involved in the operation of the car, were present on the circuit premises during the eleven-hour period that started at 11 PM on September 9, fourteen hours before the scheduled P3 start time and ending three hours before the scheduled P3 start time, according to a statement from the FIA.
The team managed by Mike Krack used its first joker out of the two allowed for period 3. As a reminder:
– Couvre-feu 1: Commence 42 heures avant le début des FP1 et termine 29 heures avant.
– Couvre-feu 2: Commence 18 heures avant le début des FP1 et termine 4 heures avant.
– Couvre-feu 3: Commence 13 heures avant le début des FP3 et termine 3 heures avant.
