Magnussen, the sad end to a crazy weekend
The Danish driver was forced to retire on the very first lap of the Brazilian Grand Prix. This contrasts with his excellent performance at the start of the weekend.
He went through all the emotions. From joy to sadness. Kevin Magnussen went from hero on Friday, achieving his first pole position on the Interlagos circuit. He also provided Haas with their first pole.
The sprint race also turned in his favor as he managed to stay among the list of drivers who scored points, finishing in eighth place. Unfortunately, the main race did not continue in this same dynamic.
From the first lap, the Danish driver was rear-ended by Daniel Ricciardo. The Haas spun out and hit the McLaren once again. Both men were forced to retire.
The outcome of Kevin Magnussen’s Brazilian weekend could have ended better. Nonetheless, he still manages to add one point to his tally.
