Esteban Ocon believes Mick Schumacher will return to Formula 1

Mick Schumacher, dropped by Haas after two seasons with the American team, will return to Formula 1, Esteban Ocon is sure of it!

The 2022 season of Mick Schumacher will have been the one of his first points, indeed, but he will only have scored 12, unlike his teammate Kevin Magnussen who will have collected 25.

His replacement was announced shortly before the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. He will be replaced in 2023 by Nico Hülkenberg, who is making his grand return to Formula 1.

It is mainly the numerous accidents he caused, highly publicized and very costly for the Haas team, that have harmed him. The financial losses he has generated have attracted the anger of Günther Steiner, manager of the Haas team.

But he is not the only one to have experienced this situation, and Esteban Ocon is well placed to testify to it. He himself had been sidelined after being dropped by Force India in 2019. After a sabbatical year, he made his grand comeback in 2020 with the Renault team. That is precisely why the French driver fully understands that Formula 1 is tough but fair. Performances fluctuate but improve, and if Mick Schumacher hasn’t found a team to welcome him next season, it’s not a goodbye to Formula 1. He might very well make a comeback in the discipline someday, Esteban Ocon knows he is capable of it.
