Pierre Gasly aims for the top with Alpine
The Frenchman has joined Alpine for the 2023 season and hopes to fight at the front with a car that has proved its worth.
He was the leader of AlphaTauri and Toro Rosso for three seasons. Now, he has switched to Alpine. The Frenchman will have to adapt to a completely new car and discover a new environment, including a new teammate.
After highs in 2020 and 2021 with the team based in Faenza, and lows this year with a much less performing car than in previous seasons, Pierre Gasly hopes to experience the joys of podium finishes again next year.
Alpine had a fantastic season by finishing fourth in the championship and beating McLaren. They clearly have a good package. And the next goal is the top three teams. We will work as hard as possible, but I am convinced that there are incredible results to achieve with the team, says driver number 10.
At AlphaTauri, the Normand obtained three podiums, including a victory, achieved at Monza in 2020.
