The first part of the 2022 Formula 1 season will have been disappointing for Mercedes, especially for Lewis Hamilton, and has created a difficult situation for him. Throughout this first part of the season, many things have gone wrong. However, the summer break has allowed him to reassess himself and regain confidence in his team to improve his performance in the second part of the season. Although his contract runs until the end of 2023, the British driver has clearly stated his intention to continue in Formula 1. This season will not be his last: he intends to extend his career.

After so many world championship titles, so many victories, the seven-time world champion has nevertheless indicated that he is never tired of racing. He still loves Formula 1 and his passion for motorsports has not diminished. That’s what he stated during an interview for Speedcafe.com.

“It’s a question that I probably ask myself,” he revealed. “I don’t know, I think it’s that I still love what I do, I still love the challenge every year.”

His technique? To take positive points from each Grand Prix. Regardless of whether there is a victory or even a podium, Lewis Hamilton admits to leaving the negative points far behind him after each Grand Prix. This allows him to regain his breath for the next race.
