Can we hope for Sebastian Vettel’s return to Red Bull?
Helmut Marko, a leader at Red Bull, has previously mentioned the possibility that Sebastian Vettel could have a position within the management of Red Bull Racing in the future. Sky Sports journalist Karun Chandhok believes that this idea is far from crazy!
Karun Chandhok, former Indian Formula 1 driver, considers Sebastian Vettel to be the most suitable for leading the Red Bull Racing junior program and even sees him as the logical successor to Helmut Marko if the latter were to retire from his position. While Marko is known for having long led a highly successful program, he is also known to be ruthless. Created with the aim of advancing young drivers to Formula 1, this program has brought several current drivers to the pinnacle of motorsport: Sebastian Vettel himself, as well as Daniel Ricciardo, Max Verstappen, Pierre Gasly, and Carlos Sainz.
« Because (Sebastian Vettel) would be very good at mentoring the next generation of drivers on how to be professionals on the track, but also for having an awareness of what is happening in the broader world », stated Chandhok on Sky Sport.
If the driver announced his retirement at the end of the 2022 season, the farewell of the four-time world champion was widely celebrated. The driver will have achieved his greatest successes within Red Bull Racing. Vettel has not yet announced his plans for the future, and a return to the sport is by no means ruled out.
