The Jordan 191 driven by Michael Schumacher for sale

He made his debut, with a stroke of luck, with this car at Spa in 1991. That year, the young German stepped in for Bertrand Gachot, who was arrested by the British police at Jordan. Mercedes had negotiated with Eddie Jordan (owner of the team of the same name) to allow his protégé to replace the Franco-Belgian, in exchange for payment. 32 years after its first laps, the Jordan 191 will return to the auction house.

This Thursday, February 2nd, this single-seater considered one of the most beautiful in history will be up for auction in Paris. It is chassis number 6 that will be offered. This true collector’s item is estimated between 1.4 and 2 million euros according to Bonhams, who is organizing the sale.

Two helmets from the Red Baron will also be available for purchase by collectors. Indeed, the helmet from the 1995 season (the one from his second title with Benetton) and the one from 1996 (his first season with Ferrari). The first one is estimated between €9,000 and €15,000, while the second one is expected to reach €18,000.
