Pierre Gasly judges the dynamics of Alpine to be “very different from that of Red Bull”

After taking its first steps on the track during winter testing with its new car, the French driver gave his impression on his new team which, according to him, brings a whole different dynamic compared to Red Bull.

(I) I’m not going to lie, it’s a big difference. That’s why I really wanted to make this transfer, because I saw how enthusiastic Alpine was about bringing me into the team and just that brings confidence and shows common ambitions, so it’s a very different dynamic from Red Bull, stated Gasly to the media.

The native of Rouen also explains that he arrives within the French team without any real expectations in terms of performance and in a relaxed manner, which has not always been the case at Red Bull where the pressure was very heavy on his shoulders: “I arrived without expectations, so very open-minded because I know that everything I will face will be very different from what I have experienced before.”

Pierre Gasly feels that “everything is well managed” at Alpine.

It is probably not the most accurate comparison, but it’s like when you go to watch a movie at the cinema if you come with preconceived ideas and expectations, you probably won’t be very impressed by the movie, whereas if you come with a very open mind, it’s a better surprise. I didn’t want to come with any sort of preconception of how the team would be, but rather how to try and see and analyze for myself and just get familiar with the environment.

To describe his acclimation at Alpine, Pierre Gasly recounts the relationship he has with the members of his team who give him confidence because they have already integrated him very well. The team has made things very easy. I tried to understand what they do, the way they work. On their side, they tried to understand me, especially in terms of what I expect in terms of driving. So far, it has been very smooth and I am very relaxed because I am happy with what we are doing. I see that they know exactly what they are doing and that everything is well managed. So far, everything is going very well.
