Max Verstappen voted Driver of the Day in Miami
The Dutch driver from Red Bull, Max Verstappen, wins the Miami Grand Prix 2023 for the second time in two editions. He was also voted Driver of the Day for his performance on the Miami circuit.
The reigning double champion Max Verstappen delivered a perfect race starting from the 9th position on the grid. Starting on hard tires, he quickly climbed up to second place in just 15 out of the 57 scheduled laps.
Absolutely in control of his tires during his first stint, Max Verstappen is making his hard tires last much better than Sergio Perez.
As a result, when he stopped at the end of the 46th lap, Max Verstappen emerged right behind his teammate’s exhaust and was able to attack him in the following lap, equipped with softer and fresher tires than those of the Mexican driver. At the finish line, Max Verstappen prevails over Perez for a fourth one-two finish in five races this season, further emphasizing Red Bull’s dominance.
He is elected driver of the day with 27% of the votes, after a controlled comeback from A to Z.
